Existing but outdated website, looking to replace and improve on the user satisfactions and conversions generated through the website.
The existing website did not meet current standards, was not fully mobile responsive, and most importantly it was ineffective at generating leads. The client wanted a fresh look, on which they would begin building new marketing campaigns.
The stakeholders in this project were several senior managers and employees from a variety of teams, including marketing, support, and engineers.
Key tools utilised throughout the project included Adobe XD for wireframes and design, Invision for prototype development, and remote user testing tools.
The project kicked off with a client questionnaire, intial consulation meeting, followed by a tailored full-day requirement gathering workshop.
Initially a survey was used to identify, and evaluate the current website offering with users. Analysis using Google analytics to review funnels, click events and exit pages. This data was further used to identify red routes. This research enabled a new user journey and site map to be created. Additional research was conducted on the project including competitor analysis, user personas, and further user testing.
Utilisation of all of the parts from the first two phases to build a wireframe and sketch some initial design ideas for the website.
Sketches of initial design ideas enabled the client to physically scribble on paper and really contribute to the new, fresh look that they wanted to have. The wireframes were transferred to Invision for easy collborative commenting during conference calls.
Adobe XD designs and Invision clickable prototypes empowered the client to identify with the website. Through 3 overall iterations, the client explored various ideas on how to showcase the work they have done over recent years, and their strong service offerings.
On completion, a knowledge transfer session was held with the client and the development team to show them around the new proposed solution. On site launch, Google Analytics showed immediate interest and the client received positive feedback from their users.
